THE MV ACADEMY
OUR TRAINING
Whether your child is taking their very first dance class or preparing for drama school, there is a place for them at MV Academy. We offer three pathways: recreational, competitive and professional, and pupils can move between them as their confidence and ambitions grow.
For ages 3 to 18. No experience or audition needed.
Our recreational classes are where most MV journeys begin. Pupils learn real technique in a fun, supportive setting, make friends and grow in confidence week by week.
We offer ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, acrobatic arts, street and commercial, lyrical and contemporary, singing and acting at our East Sheen and Richmond studios. Every pupil performs in our MV shows, including on the Richmond Theatre stage.
For dedicated dancers who want to train, perform and compete at the highest level. Places on our competition teams are by audition.
Our teams have won gold, silver and bronze at the Dance World Cup in 2023 and 2024, gold and silver at the Global Dance Open in 2024 and 2025, and competed at the Dance World Cup Finals 2026 in Dublin.
Pupils train in solos, duets, trios and groups across ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, commercial and musical theatre, building technique, stamina, artistry and stage presence.
For performers aiming for drama school, vocational college or professional work. MV is home to West End stars, with pupils performing in Matilda (West End and film), School of Rock, Mary Poppins, Nativity, The Lion King and The Hunger Games: On Stage.
Our professional pathway includes audition and casting preparation (song, monologue and dance-call coaching), support with professional headshots and Spotlight casting profiles, drama school and vocational college audition preparation, and mentoring from teachers with professional industry experience.
