HANNAH McKENNA-VICKERSTAFF

PRINCIPAL

​

Prior to founding MV Academy Hannah was the Head of Dance at Ibstock Place School for several years. She has a degree in Dance from Roehampton University (BA) Hons, which she achieved with a Scholarship, and also a Musical Theatre Diploma from Arts Ed. Her teaching career began at the age of 16 as the youngest employee of Nottinghamshire County Council's Arts Service, who she taught both Dance and Drama for in various schools in Nottinghamshire. Since then she has taught for a host of companies and schools across London and beyond.

MOLLY LYNCH

HEAD OF SINGING

​

Molly hails from Cork, Ireland and is a graduate of The CIT Cork School of Music (BMus) and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (MA). 

​

Theatre credits include: Cathy Hiatt in The Last Five Years at Southwark Playhouse, ensemble/cover Clara in The Light in the Piazza at The Royal Festival Hall & International Tour, Kolokolo Bird in Just So at The Barn Theatre, Anne Brontë Wasted at Southwark Playhouse, Betty in Sunset Boulevard UK Tour, Stand-by Julie Jordan in Carousel at ENO’s Coliseum, Chava in Fiddler on The Roof at Grange Park Opera/BBC Proms, ensemble/cover Johanna in Sweeney Todd at ENO’s Coliseum and Serifina in Sacred Heartsat Latitude Festival.

Other credits include: workshop performances at The National Theatre, Corcadorca, Theatre Royal Stratford East and soloist with orchestras such as The RTE Concert Orchestra and The Oxford Philharmonic.

CHARLIE BOOKER

HEAD OF MUSICAL THEATRE

​

Charlie graduated from ArtsEd in 2020, but has been performing since he was a child. He was in the West End productions of Oliver! (Theatre Royal Drury Lane) and Scrooge (London Palladium), as well as appearing in many UK Tours such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Never Forget and Evita.

 

His professional debut was in Peter Pan at Richmond Theatre and has also appeared in pantomimes at Theatre Royal Windsor. Whilst at ArtsEd he performed in the Olivier Awards and also sang in the BBC Proms. 

BELLE KIZZY GREEN

TEACHER OF TAP, ACRO, JAZZ

​

Trained in Musical Theatre at The Brit School then Laine Theatre Arts. Most recent work; West End’s Goldilocks and the Three Bears, London Palladium. Theatre work also includes; Up Next Gala, National Theatre, Oliver! at West End’s Dury Lane, Scrooge! London Palladium and Pantomimes; Cinderella (Woking) (Windsor) Snow White (Dartford).

 

Touring credits; Scrooge, (Mayflower Southampton) Annie (Wimbledon and Hayes) Half a Sixpence (Woking and Wimbledon) Other Credits include Performing on P&O Australia Pacific Eden Cruise Ship and appearing in prestigious events including The Windsor Horse Show, performing for Her Majesty The Queen.

AINSLEY BUTLER

TEACHER OF COMMERCIAL AND STREET DANCE

​

Ainsley is an Australian trained dancer, who has been dancing for 20+ years. After completing her training at dance college in which she received her Diploma of Elite Performance in Dance, she obtained her Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management.

 

She has spent her time teaching dance full time for the last 6 years, in-between working as a professional performer. Some of Ainsley’s performance credits include back up dancing for Sonu Nigam at Wembley Arena, performing in Wimbledon Rematch at Wembley Park Theatre,  winning the adult section at the UDO World Street Dance Championships, working with Aus Channel 7 and Channel 9 performing in the Opening and pre show entertainment for the Australian Open, and dancing in Merlin Entertainments ‘Howl’O’Ween Live’.

 

Ainsley is extremely passionate about teaching and works hard to stay up to date with all the current trends and influences in the commercial/ street dance scene to ensure she is bringing the most up to date knowledge to her classes, alongside the traditional foundations of the styles.

TERRELLE KAY

HEAD OF ACTING

HANNAH SMITH

Hannah trained at the Royal Academy of Dance on their BA (hons) in Ballet Education degree programme, and whilst training at the RAD also obtained the Licentiate of Royal Academy of Dance (LRAD) in addition to her teaching qualification. After graduating from the RAD Hannah went and furthered her dance training successfully joining London Studio Centre’s ‘Images Ballet Company’, where she had the opportunity to work with numerous choreographers and tour around the UK with ‘Images Ballet Company’.

 

Since then, Hannah has had the opportunity to dance professionally in Germany, and is currently a freelance dancer based in London. She has a wide range of experience teaching all ages from young children right through to adults whether it be with syllabus and non-syllabus classes, and has taught for many schools around London. Hannah has a huge amount of enthusiasm and passion when teaching and can push the most accomplished student, but also enjoys sharing her love of Ballet with our little ones too, getting each student to reach their full potential.

JOSIE LEE

Josie trained professionally in Musical Theatre and Dance at ‘Millennium Performing Arts’ in London. 

​

Josie also works as a freelance dance teacher, competition judge and choreographer, offering workshops to professional colleges and schools around the UK. She most recently choreographed ‘Aladdin” at the Theatre Royal Margate and was the runner up in a worldwide choreographic competition, hosted by American artist, Blake McGrath.
