THE MV ACADEMY
ABOUT US
Since opening our doors in 2016, MV Academy has grown into an award-winning performing arts school in East Sheen and Richmond, and a warm, welcoming community of around 250 pupils where every child is encouraged to shine.
Our dancers proudly represent Team England at the Dance World Cup, competing at the 2026 Finals in Dublin, and at the Global Dance Open, returning home with gold, silver and bronze medals and world titles. We're equally proud of the confidence, friendships and joy our pupils gain along the way.
We have watched our pupils grow from their very first class to the West End, international stages, film and television, the Royal Ballet School's Associate programme, and places at leading vocational colleges including Mountview, GSA, Bird College, Laine Theatre Arts and Performers College.
We offer RAD ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatic arts, lyrical and contemporary, street and commercial and musical theatre, alongside group acting, one-to-one singing, audition-only competition teams and holiday courses.
MV pupils' West End and professional credits include:
Matilda (West End, UK Tour and film), Mary Poppins, School of Rock, Frozen, The King and I, Joseph (UK Tour), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Annie (UK Tour), Les Misérables, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Nativity (Hammersmith Apollo) and the Royal Opera House.

We are extremely proud of our outstanding teaching staff. Every MV teacher is dedicated to helping our students unlock their potential in a safe, positive, encouraging environment.
The MV Academy are proud to work with a number of schools across Richmond providing exceptional Dance and Theatre clubs.
Your child's safety comes first. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is our Principal, Hannah McKenna-Vickerstaff, supported by Cindy as Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
Every MV teacher is DBS checked, and licensed chaperones look after our students at every show and competition. Any concern, big or small: mvacademyoffice@gmail.com
MUSICAL THEATRE AT MVA
Our musical theatre programme brings together acting, singing and dance, taught by a faculty of working industry professionals. Pupils perform throughout the year in productions, showcases and competitions, and we support them every step of the way through professional auditions.
Musical theatre at MV is open to everyone. Some of our now-professional performers joined us as shy beginners who were nervous to say a line on stage, and we couldn't be prouder of how far they have come.
